What is a Limpia? Why do we need it?
Limpias are Shamanic energy cleansing practices that are commonly used in Curanderismo and other folk medicine traditions through MesoAmerica. Together we will discuss and learn the tools and techniques commonly used in Limpias, including sweeps or Barridas, Sahumerios and Smoke clearing, Banos and water cleansing baths, White Fires, Egg cleansing, and more.
We will cover the basics of different types of Limpias and opportunities will be given to practice on others or yourself.
This class will include the burning of herbs, if you are planning to attend in person please keep that in mind if you have allergies or a sensitivity to incense.
